Dimitri Howald is a guitarist and composer based in Berne, Switzerland. He appears in different own projects between jazz, pop and traditional music, composes and is besides active as a Sideman. His debut album „Three Flamingos“ / Dimitri Howald Trio came out in November 2016 on Unit Records, followed by a tour through Germany in January 2017. His second studio-album„Tundra“ / ILJA, which is co-produced by the Swiss Radio was released in September 2018.
Dimitri is active in the national and international jazz-scene and has performed with many different musicians - for example at the Vortex Jazz Club with ILJA, at Sarajevo Jazz Fest with Django Bates’ Humanchain or at Jazzdor Strasbourg and D’Jazz Nevers with the Euroradio Jazz Orchestra 2017, led by Airelle Besson.
He received his master degree in Music Performance in summer 2017. He had mentors like Colin Vallon and Django Bates.
