Ohad Talmor Collective
OTCHCO is a new project by New York-Geneva-based saxophonist-composer Ohad Talmor. This bass-less quartet brings together four musicians from four different Swiss cities, and offers a repertoire in which the exploration of rhythm plays a central role. Inspired as much by Indian music as by basketball, Charlie Parker or the Swiss mountains, the pieces composed for the occasion by each musician are a window into the world of contemporary jazz, where improvisation and writing naturally overlap.
