Victoria Mozalevskaya Quartet
The Victoria Mozalevskaya Trio is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Last year, Victoria discovered Dimitri Howald, a like-minded musician who enriches the formation and complements the trio in this year's program. The band has set itself the goal of harmonizing high complexity, catchy melodies and driving rhythms in contemporary jazz. The central idea is freedom. The freedom that can be brought to a new, inspiring level through self-knowledge that has deepened over the years. The freedom of the soul in "Anahata", the freedom of love in "My Ballad" and the versatility of freedom in the two-part suite "Freedom To Be You". Victoria's greatest role model - ever since she started playing jazz - is Wayne Shorter, whose influences can always be recognized in the melodic development of Victoria's playing.
